This event supports Dane County's Literacy Network...and the school team with the most participants (per student population) wins $1,000 in books for their school library!

You can register in person at Avol's Bookstore, 315 W. Gorham St., up until 6 p.m. today or tomorrow starting at 8:30 a.m. The cost for team members is $23. Even if you can't make the actual walk, you can still get "counted" by registering.

Make sure to register under the name TEAM MARQUETTE; Team Captain: Andrea Kreft

Team Marquette is meeting at the Doyle Administration building at 10 a.m. tomorrow and then walking over to Avol's as a group...or you can meet in front of Avol's by 10:30 a.m.

Hope many of you can support our team!

9/6/2008 - Lapham-Marquette Families, Principals, and Teachers:
Our first PTG "meeting" of the year -- a family affair at the Lapham gymnasium, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the 9th of September.  You should have also seen reminders in print school newsletters and the "backpack mail".

Please bring the whole family to enjoy some ice cream and the good company of our Lapham-Marquette community, and to hear brief reports from the principals and other parents on some important issues in our schools this year.  You will also have the opportunity to offer your suggestions for the PTG for the upcoming year.  We will keep it brief, social, and fun.
Hope to see you there!

9/6/2008 - Back to School (with a pro-education assembly majority!)

Meet some of our assembly representatives and school board members who are passionate about fixing the broken school financing system, Thursday, September 18th - 5:30 PM at Ground Zero Coffee House...

8/21/2008 - A new school year is almost upon us, and registration at both Lapham and Marquette Elementary Schools is this Thursday, August 21st, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.  Please don't forget to stop by the school your child will attend this fall to register him or her for the new school year, and to obtain important information from the school and from your PTG.
