There are many ways to volunteer in our school community and we listed a variety below.

If you have an idea to contribute to the school community not listed, please share with the PTG! board@lapham-marquette-ptg.org The possibilities for partnership are endless.
Separate from PTG volunteer opportunities, MMSD requires that school volunteers complete an application and training. For activities involving unsupervised interactions with students, they also require a background check. You apply online and you can complete the training asynchronously in about 1.5 hours. Once approved, you complete a short renewal process once a year. We’ve noted below activities that require MMSD volunteer approval and at what level.
ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES
With the activities listed below, you commit to a regular contribution of your time, often once-a-week or once-every-other-week.
Most of these start later in September and run through May.
SHORT-TERM
With these activities, you commit to a regular contribution of time over the course of a few weeks or a couple of months.
ONE-TIME
With these activities, you commit once for an event or activity.
